In the article, “A Change of Heart about Animals,” Jeremy Rifkin says, “they feel pain, suffer and experience stress, affection, excitement, and even love, and these findings are changing how we view animals.” I agree with what was said because they have feelings just like us but I also disagree due to the fact that we need food from animals and many people can’t diverge into being a vegetarian.
Being an animal owner, my dog feels when loved, hurt or is being cared for. But it’s different with fish or cows because we can’t tell how they are feeling; therefore, we shouldn’t change how we view these animals.
