Summary:
In the article, "Oakland Fire Toll at 38; DA Promises 'through probe" published in December 5, 2016 by Dan Simon, Max Blau and Eliott C. McLaughlin, CNN, he points out the huge fire that recently occurred in Oakland that killed a lot of people. CNN does this by stating and telling us what the police and a couple of survivors are saying about the fire. Ultimately, they are informing us and encouraging us to keep them in prayers and to have hope they find everyone.
Response:
In the article, "Oakland Fire Toll at 36; DA Promises 'through' probe" by Dan Simon, Max Blau, and Eliott C. McLaughlin argues that this could be one of the biggest fires in Oakland history, and that they're still rummaging through the warehouse, home to many artists, to find everyone. This issue affects family and relatives because they could be severely hurt, but it could also affect Oakland community because people will not feel safe at where they live. This issue matters because it housed many people and how they could possible be dead. I agree because we need to take more precautions with a broken area like that and that we need to try and rescue everyone. I relate to this topic because I live near Oakland and I go to family parties/parties in general and I want to be safe. I just recommend sending love and prayers to those that died or family members that haven't been found yet.
